Diving

• One pool session of one to two hours to introduce the skills that will be developed during the course: o Air shares o Valve Management • Drills • Failures o Gas switches from back gas to deco gas o SMB deployment

• One shallow water skills session of up to two hours o Refining the skills from the pool session and covering various specific skills that are course passing requirements

• Two scenario / Simulated deco dive sessions o Minimum of four dives

• Two real decompression dives o Maximum depth 45m • Sites are chosen so that you reach the depth that you are being certified to during your training dives o One decompression bottle • Using 50% to accelerate decompression

Core topics • Team and situational awareness • Decompression mechanics • How to optimise decompression effectiveness • Basic theories behind different types of decompression models. • Gas management rules • DCS • Oxygen toxicity • Carbon dioxide toxicity • Inert Gas Narcosis • Carbon Monoxide Toxicity • Equipment • Risk analysis – are you ready?

Pre requisites

• 18 years old • 25 logged dives o We recommend 75 to 100 dives prior to taking on tech training • Advanced Diver qualification
